Clinton-Massie Athletics is proud to announce the receipt of a $10,000 grant from the Clinton County Foundation, supporting significant upgrades to the Clinton-Massie High School weight room. This investment will enhance training opportunities for student-athletes across all sports and grade levels. What makes this grant especially meaningful is the leadership behind it. The grant was written by Clinton-Massie Athletic Department student aide Will McCarty, under the supervision of Athletic Director Brian Carey. Will’s initiative and dedication to improving athletic facilities exemplify the leadership and real-world experience Clinton-Massie strives to provide its students. “This is a huge step forward for our programs,” said Carey. “We are incredibly proud of Will’s work on this grant and grateful to the Clinton County Foundation for believing in our vision and investing in our student-athletes.” Major Equipment and Facility Upgrades The grant will fund a wide range of new equipment and improvements designed to elevate performance training, safety, and overall functionality of the weight room. Additions include: Titan Power Rack (“Biggie”) with safety bars, spotter arms, and extension kit Adjustable performance benches (6 units) Wright bumper plates (10 lb, 25 lb, and 45 lb sets) Titan 3-in-1 plyometric boxes (8 units) Weight plate holders, barbell clips, and sandwich J-hooks Jump ropes and reactor fitness balls (multiple sizes) Fresh paint and facility enhancements These upgrades will provide student-athletes with access to modern, high-quality training equipment, supporting strength development, injury prevention, and sport-specific performance. Investing in Student-Athletes The impact of this project will extend far beyond the weight room. With improved resources, Clinton-Massie athletes will be better equipped to train year-round, build confidence, and compete at a high level.
