Fairfield (Leesburg) were down 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning when Jorgia Smith singled, scoring two runs. Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons lost despite out-hitting Fairfield (Leesburg) 16 to 12. Ava Crombie led Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons with four hits. Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons opened the scoring in the first after Crombie singled, scoring one run. Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Shae Simmons grounded out, Madi Brinck flew out, and Alyssa Sandlin singled to center field, each scoring one run. Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Kylie Chavez singled to center field, and Simmons hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Fairfield (Leesburg) tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to an error, and a sacrifice fly by Kelsie Crowder. Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons took the lead in the top of the ninth. Crombie singled, scoring one run, to give Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons the advantage, 7-6. Ally Maynard earned the win for Fairfield (Leesburg). The hurler allowed 16 hits and seven runs over nine innings, striking out two and walking none. Crombie took the loss for Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons. The right-handed pitcher went three and one-third innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out five and walking none. Kalli Jodrey led things off in the circle for Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons. The righty allowed seven hits and six runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking two. Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons accumulated 16 hits in the game. Simmons and Crombie each drove in two runs for Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons.
