Clinton-Massie Junior Varsity Baseball exploded early and never looked back, rolling to a 13-0 victory over Blanchester on Tuesday at Clinton-Massie High School. The Falcons broke the game open in the second inning, plating seven runs in a dominant stretch that put Blanchester on its heels. Levi Davidson got things started with an RBI single, followed by another run-scoring single from Eli Akers. Kenton Noggle added a sacrifice fly, while an error brought home another run. Will McCarty was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to drive in a run, and Davidson capped the inning with a two-run double to give Clinton-Massie full control. The Falcons continued to build on their lead in the third inning. Kaiden Sherwood delivered an RBI single down the left field line, and another Blanchester error allowed an additional run to score, extending the advantage. On the mound, Lelind Stiles was outstanding, earning the win with four shutout innings. The right-hander allowed just two hits while striking out five and walking one. Kenton Noggle closed things out with a strong inning in relief, striking out three without allowing a hit. Clinton-Massie’s offense stayed aggressive throughout the game. Davidson and Akers each recorded two hits, while Davidson and Noggle led the team with three RBIs apiece. The Falcons also applied pressure on the basepaths, stealing eight bases in the game. Noggle, Akers, and Jackson McGraw each swiped multiple bags. Defensively, Clinton-Massie was flawless, committing no errors and turning a double play. Cole Stump led the defense with four plays. Blanchester managed hits from Chase Hibbs and Zeb Goodin, but could not find a way to generate offense against the Falcons’ pitching staff. Clinton-Massie will look to carry the momentum into Thursday’s matchup against New Richmond.
