The Clinton-Massie Junior Varsity Falcons used a dominant fourth inning to power past Western Brown, earning a 7-3 road victory on Friday. Western Brown struck first in the bottom of the second inning, capitalizing on a Clinton-Massie error before adding timely hits to take a 3-0 lead. A double to center field and a single up the middle helped the Broncos build early momentum. But the Falcons quickly flipped the script. In the top of the fourth inning, Clinton-Massie exploded for six runs on four hits, turning a three-run deficit into a commanding 6-3 lead. The rally was fueled by patient at-bats and aggressive baserunning, highlighted by a bases-loaded walk from Kenton Noggle that brought in two runs and shifted the game’s momentum for good. On the mound, Hayden Meeker earned the win for the Falcons. The right-hander went three innings, allowing just two hits and three runs—only one earned—while striking out four. Cy Franks and Kaiden Sherwood came on in relief and shut the door, combining to keep Western Brown off the scoreboard the rest of the way. Offensively, Clinton-Massie stayed balanced throughout the lineup. Franks, Jackson McGraw, and Lelind Stiles each drove in a run, while McGraw led the team at the plate, going 2-for-4. The Falcons were aggressive on the base paths, swiping six bases, with Sherwood and Stiles each recording multiple steals. Defensively, Clinton-Massie added to their strong performance by turning a key double play. Western Brown was led by five players with one hit apiece, while two players each recorded an RBI in the loss. With the win, the Falcons continue to build momentum and will look to carry it into their next matchup as they travel to Goshen on Monday.
