By Brian Carey | May 7, 2026 12:10 PM

The Clinton-Massie Junior Varsity Falcons put together a complete performance on Wednesday night, defeating Goshen Junior Varsity Warriors 7-1 at Clinton-Massie High School. The Falcons wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning. Easton Vinup started the offensive surge with a double to center field before Levi Davidson followed with an RBI single. An error by Goshen later in the inning helped Clinton-Massie build an early 3-0 lead. Clinton-Massie continued to apply pressure in the second inning. Lelind Stiles drove in a run on a groundout, and Vinup added another RBI with a single to left field to extend the advantage to 5-0. The Falcons added another run in the third inning on a wild pitch, pushing the lead to 6-0 before eventually securing the 7-1 victory. Hayden Meeker earned the win on the mound for Clinton-Massie. The right-hander allowed just one hit and one run over three innings while striking out four without issuing a walk. Jackson McGraw was outstanding in relief, tossing four shutout innings while allowing only two hits and striking out six. Kyle Fantetti took the loss for Goshen, allowing seven runs — five earned — on nine hits over three and two-thirds innings. Clinton-Massie totaled nine hits in the game and showed balance throughout the lineup. Vinup led the way offensively, driving in three runs while going 2-for-4 from the No. 3 spot in the lineup. Davidson, Eli Akers, and Vinup each collected two hits for the Falcons. The Falcons also created havoc on the bases, swiping five stolen bases and turning a double play defensively. For Goshen, Aiden Mallaley drove in the Warriors’ lone run and went 1-for-2 at the plate. Fantetti, Mallaley, and Westyn Reinhardt each recorded a hit. Clinton-Massie Junior Varsity returns to action Monday at home against the Waynesville Junior Varsity Spartans.
